Doctor Who

Oswin Oswald, also known as Clara Oswald, is a companion of the Eleventh and Twelfth Doctors in the British science fiction television series Doctor Who. She is portrayed by actress Jenna Coleman.

The Doctor first encounters Oswin as a brilliant, albeit partially converted, Junior Entertainment Manager aboard the doomed starship Alaska in the episode "Asylum of the Daleks." Oswin, through her genius-level hacking skills, saves the Doctor and his companions, Amy and Rory, from the Daleks, unaware she herself is now partially Dalek.

Subsequently, the Doctor meets Clara again as Clara Oswin Oswald, a nanny living in 2013 London. She dies saving children from wifi-controlled intelligences in "The Bells of Saint John." This creates the "Impossible Girl" mystery, as the Doctor is bewildered by her repeated appearances and deaths across time and space.

He ultimately discovers that Clara had splintered herself across the Doctor's timeline to undo the damage caused by the Great Intelligence in "The Name of the Doctor." As a result, she encountered all of the Doctor's past incarnations. After significant adventures as the Doctor's companion, she departs the TARDIS in "Hell Bent," effectively becoming immortal and embarking on her own travels through time and space in a stolen TARDIS with fellow companion, Me.
